Hi all,
I work for Bullseye Television, an Independent Production Company in London, and last year we made ‘Preppers UK: Surviving Armageddon’ for the National Geographic Channel. We are now working on a follow up documentary and are looking for European Preppers and Survivalists who are happy to tell us about the issues they believe their country faces and how they have prepared for them. Like the first programme, we will be looking at all aspects of Prepping and Survivalism, from new starters to established preppers and survival experts. It will also look across the diverse reasons to as why people prep from economic breakdown and rising food prices to SHTF scenarios.

It would be great to speak to some of you further about your experiences with prepping in your country and find out more about you.

Our experience with the first documentary means that we are aware of the issues facing Preppers and we understand that keeping your personal information safe is key. Under no circumstances will we share your details with anyone else and contacting us in the first instance does not mean you are obliged to take part in the documentary.

Anledningen till att han har ett matlager är enligt NG alltså att han är antingen galen eller paranoid. Tittaren får själv avgöra vilket det är.

Jag tycker vi hjälps åt nu att tiga ihjäl den här "dokumentären"...

Jo, känns ganska sannolikt att de som vanligt kommer att försöka vinkla det till att vi alla är galningar som förbereder oss för en zombieapokalyps eller invasion av aliens. Allt för att de stora massorna (TV-tittarna) inte ska vakna ur sin törnrosasömn.

Det är ju ganska ledsamt att media framställer riskmedvetna och planerande människor som galna och lite lustiga exempel på udda existenser för att roa folk som sitter hemma i stugorna och pekar finger. Med en sån approach kommer ju inte deltagandet att vara speciellt högt.

I consider NGC a fairly good channel with interesting programs, but you are not NGC but a production company, correct?
This to me means that you are contracted by NGC to produce this program, and for this you get paid.

What sort of compensation you are willing to give the people that you need to be able to produce the show? (As a company you are interested in making money, this I respect, but I also see that exploiting "us" to make this show without fair compensation seems a lot like Nike´s sweatshops)
Or are you expecting voluntaries to help you make money for free?

I would consider it only fair with some compensation to help advance the participants readiness level since "survivalism" is a rather expensive "hobby" it would be nice to get something for braking the cardinal rule of op-sec.

Or am I the only one that reflect on this?

Så känslan är något mer seriös då de är villiga att ta diskussionen och ta saker i övervägande iaf. Betydligt bättre än när TITAN gjorde Outsiders om jag fattade det rätt.

Alla andra som jobbar med produktionen får saftiga löner, varför ska du ställa upp gratis framför kameran?

Hmm. Det här kan ju bli intressant. Hoppas dom belyser skillnaderna mellan US preppers och Euro preppers. Och skillnaden mellan prioriteringarna i olika Euro-länder.

Dock är jag inte intresserad av att var med, men kommer garanterat titta.

Man slipper iallafall alla vapen tokiga dårar som finns i usa. Allså en lite mildare variant av dommsdays preppers.
